16/09/2009 · what the idle is set at is typically different. as for internally they run a different program if the auto ecu is internal. it will have something that tells it when it should be shifting so it will change the fuel map based on shift points. if you want to convert the auto ecu to manual it’s pretty simple, you have to remove 2 resistors and put a jumper wire in place.

30/05/2008 · mine were PR3 ECUs OBD0 and the vtec light came on at 4300rpm with the auto ecu and 5000rpm with the manual. Also compareing some old b16a auto cams to my old b16a manual cams the vtec lobes on the auto cams are just a tiny bit bigger then the normal lobes on the manual cams.

21/07/2015 · ALL OBD1 p72 Auto ecus look like that. They cannot be chipped using the normal 28 pin chip. You could run po8 but the. U would loose control of the secondary intake runners. Unless u add parts to the ecu or change the output of the IAB to another usable pin etc. Easiest is if u get a p72 manual ecu 😉 I have one here also

13/05/2008 · is it possible to convert an obd2 ecu to a manual? is it the same as the obd1? also has anyone ever tried it? It’s probably possible, it’s not the same as OBD-1 though. OBD-1 ECU’s use moly pin through hole solder type connections and are fairly forgiving to work on.
